QUESTION: I have a log home that is in need of blasting/restraining but the quote was real expensive. The wife would rather cover the exterior with hardy board siding. Would there be any negative affects to this?

QUESTION: My builder install a coat of boiled linseed oil mixed with turpentine on my timbers. Can I apply a stain over this? Something like Cabot Australian timber oil of Penofin log on?
