I have a wood sided home that was finished with a log stain. It’s been several years since it has been stained. I bought the same stain same color the other day and was planning on restraining the whole house. The house siding is in great shape clean with a few nails coming loose and in one small area 10’x10’, it looks like a dozen pea size chips are bare. My question is can I just start staining or is there a process to prepare it?

It should be given a light wash with Log Wash.  Call Timeless Wood Care Products at 800-564-2987 to order.  They can help with questions also.
