I’m looking to build a log home and at the front entrance I’m looking to use two logs that have there roots showing for design as pillars on each side of the front over hang of the house. Witch are going to be cedar logs. My question is one of the logs I dug up has a hole going up the middle of the tree from the bottom by the roots half way up the inside of the tree. Can I still use that tree ? Can I fill the hole with something ?
It should be good. You might want to spray a good dose of Shell Guard RTU in the hole to help stop any rot. Call 800-564-2987 to purchase
