The logs on the outside of the house have sap coming through them is this normal and can we stop it and or remove it

This is called resin bleed and there is nothing you can really do to stop it.  It will keep happening ever summer when it get hot for many, many years.  You can't really remove it because it will come right back and the only thing that will really cut it is solvents but those will harm the finish.  It can be caused by several different things, like the logs harvested at the peak of the summer and then stained before they are completely dried.  Some logs are just prone to it and there is really no way to tell in advance.
