I have an 1835 log home. The inside had been plastered when a stone addition was done in 1945. I want to expose the logs inside. I have looked by cutting plaster and they are in great shape. However I feel air coming in so is there a way to insulate the olgs once exposed? Maybe a silicon covering ? Thank you.

LOG DOCTOR REPLY:  You will want to remove the old chinking and and install new Grip Strip backer and then apply new Perma Chink.
