I purchased a log cabin 2 years ago and applied cabbot stain to the logs. Now you can see the cement blocks on tje foundation are turning red due to the stainni applied to the logs. I'm guessing everytime it rains it runs down the walls to the foundation. I want to install stone veneer to the exposed blocks but want to stop the stain from running first.

I would recommend stripping it and applying a good quality latex stain made for log homes like LifeLine or Nature's
