What is your recommended finish we should use for this situation: We 1st used the Behr Raw Hide Log Home exterior finish (on our new wood siding). Behr discontinued this product so we called them and they told us to use the new Behr Log Home exterior (water based finish). This is not a very good product, it thin and does not hold up. We need to put some more finish on our home and do not want to use a water based finish. We are looking for a compatable oil based product that is more like a varnish (softer and pliable) to use. Thank you for your help.
I do not recommend mixing products. If Behr is recommending this you should go with it or strip the house and start with a new product. They had a lot of problems with the Rawhide.
