Question:  Black on outside of log home. I am learning it is an indication of water/moisture. How can it be cleaned up, and stopped?

Answer:  It is probably being caused by a stain with a lot of plant oil in it.  It will need to be stripped and stained with a good quality latex stain.  LifeLine, Capture/Cascade and Natures are all good stains.
