QUESTION:  I have an 1880’s dog trot log cabin and the sill logs on the eastside of the cabin are rotting and I believe the north side too? In order to repair or replace them, will the entire cabin have to come down and restacked? I am wanting to eventually live in it. I just want to make sure it lasts another 150 years. Keep passing it down to the next generation. How expensive is it to do? Would you know how to do that? Thank you

ANSWER:  Short answer is no.  You will not need to take it down and then re-stack.   Call Ryan at 231-631-3463 for help.
