QUESTION: We have a family log home from the 1860's. It has been covered with clapboard siding for nearly 100 years. My husband and I are interested in exposing the logs. We have no idea what we are going to find. The logs are hand hewn poplar with dovetail corners. We live in the Northwestern North Carolina mountains near Boone NC.
