QUESTION: My home ia a lamented log home, 23 years old with cedar on outside and Larch on inside. No cracks or splits on outside with very little boring powder post beetle on facial board that is pine. This will be my fourth application. Stain ahas been WOODguard in cedar color. How do you recommend to clean and what is the best product to use. I have been reading about Q8 and Sashco Transformation stain. Plan to stay cedar color. I have porches on 3 sides with 30 inch overhang with gutters but porch has no gutters. I live in North Carolina.
